Students from the Buffalo Academy of
Science had the opportunity to work with some of the greatest graphic designers
and typographers in the United States. Members from the organization SOTA
(Society of Typographic Aficionados) helped our students establish a school
paper, The Pride. The Pride was then showcased as part of the TypeCon
conference at the downtown Hyatt Regency. This was an amazing experience for
all those involved.

What is a
Charter School?
|
A charter school is a public school
that receives public education funding, and is open to all children eligible to
attend New York State public schools. In general, a charter school is
independent of the local school district, nonsectarian, tuition-free, and
governed by its own self-selecting board of trustees.more |
