Black History Month Celebrated with a Program   Students at BASCS celebrated Black History Month by attending a program at Shanghai Red’s Restaurant. The program was put on by Canisius College Academic Talent Search Program. The students had a chance to meet Mayor Byron Brown, have a nice buffet lunch, and take part in workshops. The students also took part in their own Black History Program here at BASCS. Students recognized African Americans who have done great things for this country. Mr. Riccio presented six students with certificates and gift cards as prizes for winning the Black History essay contest. Ms. Melonya Johnson of BSmart Coach was the keynote speaker. Ms. Johnson spoke to the students about how important it is to have goals. Mr. Don Capers of Canisius College Academic Talent Search was the Master of Ceremony.
