Students Win Gold and Silver Medals at Science Olympiad!
Our Science
Olympiad Team did a fantastic job and won 2
GOLD MEDALS and 1 SILVER MEDAL in Niagara Erie Regional Science
Olympiad Competition.

Deion Kuykendall and Raymond Smith won SILVER MEDAL in Trajectory

schools participated in the competition. We competed in 3 out of 21
events. BASCS
students participated in the following events :
*In
the Elevated Bridge Event, students try to build the most efficient bridge.
Our bridge was 15.9 grams and carried 15,000 grams and had the
highest efficiency. It took three months to find out the best design
and structure for our bridge prior to the event.
*In
the Wright Stuff Event, students try to build an airplane that has
the highest flight time. Our plane without any crash flew longer than all
other planes. It took three months to build and test our plane prior to the
event.
*In
the Trajectory Event, students try to build a device that launches a ball
with the highest accuracy. Our catapult had the second most accurate
launches. Our students modified the device from last year
and praticed with it for a month.
